Award Application

Ardeth and Norman Frisbey International Student Award

Purpose:

This award honors and recognizes outstanding contributions to international under-standing by graduate/undergraduate international students (holding non-immigrant status) enrolled in full-time resident instruction or its equivalent.

Eligibility:

Consideration for this award shall be given to all full-time graduate or undergraduate international students (holding non-immigrant status) enrolled in an academic program at any Penn State campus who have exhibited exemplary contributions furthering international understanding. This could consist of academic, athletic, or other extra-curricular campus activities and/or community involvement in school or civic group programs or service projects. Normally, recipients have made contributions in more than one area. Please note that international activities should have taken place at Penn State and that students must be enrolled for the 2013-2014 academic year in order to receive the award.

Number And Amount Of Awards:

There will be three awards of $1,000.00 each, one to an undergraduate international student, one to a graduate international student, and one to an outstanding student leader, regardless of academic level.

Application Process:

Step 1: International students who believe that they meet the stated eligibility criteria must complete the Ardeth and Norman Frisbey International Student Award application.

Step 2: Applicants must also submit at least one, but not more than three, letters of recommendation, addressing the candidate's qualifications in light of the eligibility criteria. Letters of recommendation can be sent to Sandi Richter at or mailed to:
