2011-12 W. LaMarr Kopp International Achievement Awards
The W. LaMarr Kopp International Achievement Awards are designed to recognize those at Penn State who make extraordinary contributions to the advancement of the international mission of the University. This year's Selection Committee is chaired by Thomas Bruening, associate professor of agricultural and extension education in the College of Agricultural Sciences, and Kopp Faculty Award winner in 2004-05.
Four awards are given annually in the categories of undergraduate student, graduate student, staff member, and faculty member. Criteria for the awards include leadership and support for international education, service to the international community, and research with a significant international component. Each award carries a $1,000 cash award and a plaque. Nominees/applicants must be full-time faculty, staff, and students at Penn State University.
The awards are presented at the University Awards Convocations in the spring and recipients will be honored at the Global Programs International Achievement Reception in April.
