How to Apply to Penn State
Undergraduate Admissions
International students seeking an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree must complete an admission application via the online International Undergraduate Admissions Application and pay the application fee. For more information, please visit our Undergraduate Admissions Office Web site.
All newly admitted international students are required to complete the International Student Visa Documentation process in order to receive visa-eligibility documentation (I-20/DS-2019) and/or clearance to enroll at Penn State.

Graduate Admissions
Contact the department of your major to request an application. Each department requires different information, so do not use material received from one department to apply to another. You may not apply to more than one department at a time. Follow the department's instructions so your application can be processed quickly. For more information, please visit our Graduate Admissions Web site.
Please note that the admissions process for graduate students is a two-step process:
- Department - The department will make a decision concerning your acceptance into its program and send you a letter of acceptance and information concerning an assistantship, if applicable.
- Graduate Enrollment Services - The Graduate School will review all application materials and makes the final admission's decision.
